The Glen Allen Ruritan Club and the Henrico County Division of Recreation and Parks announce the 12th Annual Glen Allen Day Parade and Fair which was held Saturday, Sept. 20th, 2008 at Meadow Farm Museum - Crump Park at 3400 Mountain Road in Glen Allen, Virginia.
The Glen Allen Day Parade started at 9:30AM on Mountain Road at John Cussons Drive and proceeded westbound along Mountain Road, turned right entering Crump Park and ended at RF&P Park.
The Glen Allen Day Arts and Crafts Fair began at 11AM and continued until 4PM. The Glen Allen Ruritan Club cooked and sold pork barbecue, hot dogs and hamburgers. Other refreshments and treats were made available for sale by other clubs and sponsors. Proceeds benefit the Glen Allen community.
Local elementary and high school singing groups and local bands appeared on two stages. (see schedule)
Glen Allen Day 2008 was supported by corporate sponsors Davidson Roofing, Ameriprise Financial Services, Brusters Ice Cream, Master Cho's World Class Tae Kwon Do, BB&T, Golden Living Center, Sara Davis Harman & Associates, Glen Allen Super Market, Henrico Federal Credit Union, Holiday Barn Pet Resorts, Ukrop's Super Markets and First Market Bank, Glen Allen VFW Post 10657, F. Richard Wilton, Bon Secours Richmond Health System, and many other fine community businesses and organizations.

The Hermitage High School Marching Band and Color Guard marched in the 2008 Glen Allen Day Parade.
11:00AM-4:00PM: Arts and Crafts Fair and entertainment

Custom and Classic Car Show 2nd year!
Autos were judged in various categories.
Entertainment Line-Up
Among other musical acts scheduled to perform were The Atkinsons with The Taters.
